About Mission: 5K

Join us as the Employee Health and Well-being Team guides you through a 9-week training program to set you up for success to complete a 5K. For ZERO cost, you'll get a 9-week guided walk/run training session, access to AdventHealth fitness professionals, Mission: 5K race support and more!

Training Information

Trainings can be done virtually at your own convenience by using the provided guide OR in-person on select days and locations with the Employee Health and Well-being Team. 

In-Person Training Days and Locations

  • Mondays at 5:30 PM | February 13- April 10
    • AdventHealth Daytona Beach campus (301 Memorial Medical Parkway; Daytona Beach, FL 32117)
      • Meet on the fitness trail by the lake
  • Wednesdays at 5:30 PM | February 15- April 12
    • Cranes Roost Park (274 Cranes Roost Blvd; Altamonte Springs, FL 32701)
      • Meet at the amphitheater 


  • In-person trainings are optional will start promptly at 5:30 PM. Please arrive on time to ensure a proper warm up, directions, and full experience.
  • All fitness levels are welcome- whether you are walking or running, we will work within your pace to get you ready for a 5K.
  • Training will include a warm-up training, the week's training, and a cool down.
  • Trainings are weather permitting- if you are opted into text messaging for reminders, you will receive a text about cancellations due to weather in real time.
  • Please leave all personal valuables in your vehicle. (The Employee Health and Well-being team is not responsible for lost or stolen items)
Race Information

Virtual Option: Week of April 15

Convenience that what works for you! Race at your pace wherever you are between April 15 and April 22.

In-person Option: April 22 | Run for the Trees | Winter Park

Finish your race surrounded by a beautiful tree-lined trail. Run for the trees includes running in both historical streets and environmentally protected land in winter park. Race discount code: AH5OFFTREES

Receive Points

Mission: 5K is worth 20 wellness incentive points if all requirements are met by self-reporting in WebMD under the "Running Training Events" category by November 30th of the current wellness incentive year. To earn wellness incentive points, you must attend and 'check in' a minimum of 5 out of the 9 suggested training sessions each week.
